Shin Sakae Portfolio is a private money tracker for one family: the website at www.shinsakae.group and its iPhone and Android apps. It's run by Shin Sakae Holdings in Nagoya, Japan. This page says what the app keeps, where it goes, and what it never does.
What the app keeps
- Your sign-in: your email address and password. The password is kept only in scrambled (hashed) form by the sign-in service.
- What you and your family enter: accounts and balances, income, spending, transfers, investments, assets, notes, and the names, email addresses and roles of the people the portfolio's owner has added.
- Keys for widgets and Siri: only a fingerprint (hash) of each key is kept on the server. The key itself stays in your phone's keychain, and you can switch it off at any time.
Who can see it
Only the people the portfolio's owner has added, and only as their role allows (owner, editor, view-only, or own accounts only). There is no public sign-up.
Services the app uses
- Supabase stores the portfolio and handles signing in, and Vercel runs the website (servers in Tokyo).
- Cloudflare Workers AI reads what you choose to send it: a question you ask, a receipt photo, or bank screenshots, with the figures needed to answer. The app doesn't keep those pictures.
- Exchange rates (ExchangeRate-API) and watch prices (dealers' public price lists) are looked up without sending anything about you.
On your phone
Pages you've opened are saved on your phone, so the app opens quickly and still works without signal. Signing out deletes them. Face ID, Touch ID and fingerprint unlock are handled by your phone; the app never sees that data.
What the app never does
No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, no analytics, and no selling or sharing of your information. The apps contain no third-party tracking code.
The demo
“See a demo” shows made-up figures. Nothing you do in the demo is saved; a cookie on your phone remembers the demo for one day.
Keeping and deleting
Your information is kept while you use the app. The owner can delete entries, accounts and people at any time. To delete your account, go to Settings → Delete my account in the app or on the website. That deletes your sign-in, takes you off the People list, switches off your widget and Siri keys, and takes your email off what you added. The family's accounts and entries stay, because they belong to the whole portfolio. You can also email shinsakaeholdings@gmail.com from the address you sign in with, including to delete the whole portfolio, and it will be done within 30 days.
Children
The app isn't meant for children.
